Becoming a Certified Personal Trainer

I am starting to my journey to become an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.

I have decided to become a certified personal trainer!

I want to know the how and why behind everything we do. I love science and have a thirst for knowledge that never seems to be quenched. [Now you know why I received a doctorate in chemistry.]

While going to school, I discovered a love of fitness and for sharing that love with other people. As an independent Beachbody coach, I have been able to pursue that passion and help people with their health and fitness journeys. Helping others improve their lives makes me so happy. I cannot express how much it has changed my life!

With that being said, I want to learn even more about the science of health, fitness, and nutrition. I want to know how I can apply that knowledge to help others and to give more to the people in my challenge groups and on my team.

For these reasons, I want to be a certified personal trainer. After looking at all of my options, I plan to get certified through the American College of Sports Medicine.

I want to provide YOU with knowledge and valuable information that you can use to improve your own life.

I am taking a series of classes through one of our local state colleges. By taking these classes, I will gain a deeper knowledge of the material covered on the ACSM CPT exam. They will also provide more of a structured learning method that I enjoy.

I am very excited to learn all that I can and to blog about my journey toward becoming a certified personal trainer. I want to pass my knowledge onto you—my readers in the Team Changing for the Better community. I plan to use this blog to pass on helpful tidbits that you can apply to your own life.

I am excited to share with you my journey to become a certified personal trainer! Stay tuned for future posts to learn more about the science of health and fitness!
