Mood Board // January 2015
In an effort to better define my brand and style, I was encouraged by my coach Becka to spend 30 minutes on Pinterest saving any images that caught my eye to a mood board. I really like this concept and quite honestly spent extra time, because let’s face it without an alarm you could get lost in Pinterest world. After looking back at my board (feel free to check it out!), what stood out to me were: family, positivity, encouragement, self-reflection, food, and magical places that to me I imagined being full of inspiration and also calming. It was more of a feeling I suppose.
When I asked my friends to check it out they saw: positive, good vibes, words of wisdom, empowering, family, fitness, nature, inspirational, laid back, warmth, food, charcoal grey, indigo, building a home/family, quality time, love for nature/outdoors, and my favorite was a quote that someone thought of from the movie Amelie “…she enjoys all sorts of little pleasures, putting her hand in a bag of seeds, piercing the crust of creme brulee with the tip of a spoon..”
What do you see? I encourage you to make your own mood board, and I would love to check it out and tell you what I see.
I love this exercise so much that I think I will keep doing it to see how what I like becomes more refined and/or changes.
